Becoming Mom was Dawn's Vision. At the heart of Becoming Mom is the Imaging Center....which is not just about creating that first baby picture. By investing in state-of-the art technology that would give Mom and Dad a high definition picture of their baby before he or she was born, Dawn's hope was that Becoming Mom would allow them to bond with their baby and become more invested in a healthy pregnancy.
Beyond the imaging, Dawn selected services and products that would educate, pamper and relax Mom..... helping her to adjust to her ever changing needs in a nurturing, pregnancy-safe Spa Environment.
Dawn received her education at Cornell University before coming to Cincinnati and spending 19 years at Procter & Gamble. She has 2 children of her own.

Dr. Bruce Banias
Affiliated OB-GYN and Perinatologist
Dr. Banias's credentials include receiving a Bachelor of Science in Biology at the Citadel, a Masters of Science in Human Physiology at the University of Southern California, and Medical Doctorate at the Medical University of South Carolina, Dr. Banias did his residency at Wright State University and his Maternal-Fetal Medicine Fellowship at the Medical College of Georgia. He is a Board Certified OB-GYN and a Fellowship Trained Perinatologist.
Dr. Banias' practice, Genesis OB/GYN, is located in Kettering, OH. Dr. Banias and his friendly, knowledgeable staff treat each patient with kindness and compassion. The loving, cheerful atmosphere makes walking into the office a memorable, welcoming experience.
Nikki White
RDMS Eligible Diagnostic Medical Sonographer
Nikki graduated from Kettering College with an Associated in Diagnostic Medical Ultrasound School in 2002. In addition to working at Becoming Mom, she continues do diagnostic medical scans for several OB-GYNs in the Dayton area , including Becoming Mom's Affiliated Perinatologist, Dr. Bruce Banias.
Missy Moone
RDMS Medical Sonographer
Missy has 17 years experience in medical sonography and has chosen to specialize in obstetrical sonography. She worked at Mercy Fairfield Hospital and for 10 years with Dr. Methard. Missy is a graduate of Butler University with an Associate of Science in Radiologic Technology and Prince George's Community College for Sonography. She is RDMS Certified in OB/GYN and Abdomen.
5 Pre-Natal Certified Massage Therapists
Marnie, Jen, Delana, Zena, and Katie
All of Becoming Mom's Massage Therapists are Pre-Natal and Postpartum Certified, which means they not only have their Massage License from the Ohio State Medical Board, but also went through extensive training in Pregnancy Massage. Other Spas may say their therapists are "trained", but you should be sure to ask if that training extended beyond the brief amount of training they might have received during their overall Massage School Curriculum.
